WW1: 100 year commemorations

A new section to record the stories of local men who fell in WW 1 and who are being commemorated by a service at All Saints Church Banstead, on the day in the current year which marks the 100th year of the anniversary of their death.

Started a new section in memory of all the crew of Liberator KK241 which crashed in the Canadian mountains on 1 June 1945. Gordon Hammond from Banstead was one of the casualties. Eleven young men were killed, and this new section will be expanded as more information comes to light.
